Pamela
C. Russell, PC is a professional corporation licensed to
practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The firm
is staffed by one primary attorney, Pamela Russell who
was born, raised, and chooses to practice law in the
Northern Neck of Virginia where she has lived virtually
all of her life. She is proud of her deep roots in the
area and works to improve the circumstances of her
neighbors and community through the practice of her
profession and her commitment to the principles she
learned from the rural way of life on the Chesapeake Bay. Ms.
Russell is a graduate With Honors from the University of
Tennessee in Knoxville. She received her law degree from the T.C.
Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond and
received legal training in English Common Law,
International Business Law, and Law of the European Union
at Cambridge University in England. She received honors
while at the University of Richmond and was recognized in
Who’s Who in American Law Students. Ms.
Russell's experience is extensive and diverse. It ranges from
owning and managing a seafood business to working in the human
services field for twelve years before going to law school.
She has worked as a law clerk for a United States
District Court Judge and acted as law clerk and research
assistant in the editing of a family law textbook and a
treatise handbook on Virginia Family Law. She was a staff
attorney for both the Virginia Commission on Family
Violence Prevention and for the Virginia Poverty Law
Center and has published articles on family law and
domestic violence in national and state publications. Ms.
Russell organized and led numerous CLE workshops for judges
and attorneys on domestic violence and family law issues and has
been a state board member of Virginians Against Domestic
Violence and a legislative advocate for that body since
1983. Ms. Russell is currently a member of the
American Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar, The
Virginia State Bar Family Law Division, the Northern Neck
Bar Association, and Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity. She
is licensed to practice in all courts of the
Commonwealth of Virginia, the United States District Court for
the Eastern District of Virginia, and the Fourth Circuit Court
of Appeals.
